6 Days Rongai Route

6 Days Rongai Route

Kilimanjaro's Unforgettable Experience

Overview

Routes On Kilimanjaro

Overview

The route begins on the northern-east side of Kilimanjaro Mountain and was known as the least traveled and offered a great peace and quiet, choosing Rongai route offers you an opportunity to observe a wide variety of the African animals, such as Baboons, monkeys, buffalos, elephants as well as spectacular views. Rongai is the preferred route for those looking for an alternative to the crowded Marangu route and more remote hike, during the rainy season the north side receives less precipitation which helps less rain compare to the other route.

Highlights

  • The Rongai Route is the only route on the north-eastern part of the mountain.
  • This route is gaining in popularity, because it is the second easiest after Marangu and it has amazing wilderness conditions.
  • The Rongai Route is recommended for climbers who want to avoid the huge numbers of climbers on other routes.
  • This route can be started from the Tanzanian or the Kenyan side of the mountain and can be achieved in 6 days.
